The SOAR Program is a highly specialized and individualized, community-based, collaborative alternative education program. It is designed to re-engage Indigenous students in Grades 1 through 7 with their learning, and provides programming options that may not otherwise be offered in the public education system. This transition program reconnects students with their culture, teaches essential social skills, and provides a supportive learning environment to bridge any existing learning gaps. The goal of the program is to get students back on track with their studies so they can successfully and confidently meet the demands of the mainstream system upon their return.
This community-based collaborative alternative educational program is meant to reach and teach students at risk of stalling out with their education and learning. Its goal is to re-engage, re-energize, re-connect, and re-empower students.
We have a current partnership with Batchewana First Nation in Sault Ste Marie, ON and we are excited to bring this program to more First Nations communities.
