    $35 per hour


    Position Overview


    We are currently hiring for the following role:

    • In-Home Tutors: Grade 9 - All subjects (Sudbury, ON)

    Compensation:

    • From $30 per hour

    This position is ideal for an educator who enjoys individualized instruction, differentiated teaching, and building strong relationships with learners and families.


    Key Responsibilities


    As a Teacher-Tutor at Goode Learning, you will:

    • Deliver one-on-one instruction in-person tailored to each student’s learning profile
    • Use assessment-informed strategies to plan lessons and monitor progress
    • Adapt teaching to support individual learning needs and strengths
    • Support students in literacy, numeracy, and subject-specific areas
    • Communicate student progress with the internal team
    • Build trusting relationships with families, helping them understand and support their child’s learning journey

    Qualifications


    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT)
    • (Certification must be approved with no terms or conditions; applications in progress will not be considered) – Pre-Service teachers in their second year will also be considered.
    • 1–2+ years of classroom teaching experience
    • Strong knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and current educational pedagogy
    • Experience working with diverse learners and varying learning profiles
    • Proven ability to apply differentiated instruction strategies
    • Comfort using educational technology tools (e.g., Google Classroom, digital learning platforms)
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • A growth mindset, flexibility, and enthusiasm for supporting student success

At Good Learning, we seek dedicated and qualified educators to join our team. To ensure the highest standards, we require all Teacher-Tutors to meet specific eligibility criteria.


Please   Note: Our Teacher-Tutors are Independent Contractors and must be in Good Standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, with no terms or conditions. As the first step in the application process, applicants will be required to provide their OCT number for verification by the Good Learning Team.
